Join us for what we hope to make an annual Civil War event . Named Camp Leasure in honor of Daniel Leasure (March 18, 1819 – October 10, 1886) American soldier and Darlington physician who served as a colonel and brigade commander in the PA 100th Volunteer Infantry the Roundheads during the American Civil War. We hope to have numerous Civil War and civilian period reenactors set up outside the academy showcasing weapons uniforms and life during the bloodiest war in American History. All of our buildings will be open to view our displays. Don’t miss our great100th PA infantry Roundhead display in Greersburg Academy. Great fall food will be available outside Greersburg Academy.

Come visit Santa at our vintage 1800’s log cabin . The cabin will be decorated in its holiday finest with a roaring fire in the fireplace. There will be treats for the kids and the reindeer barn will be up and humming with activity. There will be vintage 1800’s sleighs outside to take great photos. After visiting Santa walk down our path of Christmas inflatables to the McCarl Industrial museum. The log cabin is located beside the McCarl Industrial museum which is on Plumb street directly across from the One Stop Shopper market. Everything is free with donations greatly appreciated.

History Celebration Weekend
Enon Valley Community Historical Society is getting ready for this year’s theme: Communication. Enon Valley had its own phone company as early as 1907. We are looking to borrow old telephones (rotary, push button, early cellular), old radios, old tv sets, a telegraph key, a telephone switchboard, etc. Any photos of our early switchboard operators from Enon, Mt. Air, and Darlington, would be wonderful. Please let us know if you can help us with this interesting project!
While planning your trip to this event, stop by the Little Beaver Historical Society and explore the local history of northern Beaver County and surrounding region. Learn about our open museum dates and times, or make an appointment to visit the museum.
