Court School in South Beaver Township, 1979

1979 photo of Sam Moore’s sister, B.G. Moore, in front of the long closed Court School in South Beaver Township. Sam Moore: “I went to Court School first through eighth grade, while B.G. did eighth grade at McCloy School. When we went to the school there was a bell tower in front (where the overhead door is in the photo) with a vestibule at floor level where we hung our coats and where the water urn was. It was also where the teacher took us to administer discipline. Our uncle, Charles Townsend, hauled kids, including us, to the school for many years, while my dad did the same for McCloy School.”
